This is me in Rome or was it Spain? We were having a retirement party for someone who had served 20 years in the navy. One thing I can say about the navy, You will find friends that you can keep for life. You also realize that even though you have to leave those at home and your heart aches to be back, you soon understand that what you do keeps those at home safe and away from harm. Some nights while your alone in your rack or your up on in the bridge and there is no light to see except for the millions of stars in the sky, I sometimes wonder am I making a diffrence? When you see that smile on someones face that you bring. ie. this picture. then yes sometimes one person can make the diffrence if only for that minute, perhaps just that moment, for all the right reasons you do.

The night World War II ended. My grandfather is the sailor in the middle. I am also in the navy. He was a well respected person where ever we went when I was growing up. I followed his example. It has taken me all over the world. Its good to have history to look back on. (self Reflection.) =-)

I must say I admire the commitment of the Vatican Guard. They stand out there for hours with people watching them like fish in a fishbowl. I wonder how that must be for a point on your resume? Anyone know someone who does this line of work? Posted by Picasa
Inside the dome. Will we ever put forth this much effort as those did back then in just making something beautiful? Anyone out there know of Something going on now that could even compare? Posted by Picasa
I like this photo. Took it in rome with the backdrop of the Vatican dome. Quite nice. I wish I could say that about work today. Was a little frustrating=-) Posted by Picasa
